A Delivery for Luca at work..

Dianthe knew that Luca had been tremendously busy at work lately, and the couple hadn't had much time together as they usually did. So she ordered a surprise for her bebe...a nickname for Luca that had stuck firmly in her vocabulary.

She chose a food basket containing many delicious treats, and a sexy note added to it. "Been working too hard? Next time you eat out, think of me, bebe. Love, Di." The package was ordered online to be delivered to Luca Staropoli at his place of business.

Dianthe hoped her boyfriend would like her spontaneity in sending the gift, and that she would coax him to come over after work to take her to the arcade sometime this week. It didn't take much persuasion from the Corax, to sway Luca's mind.

There lay the problem with short projects: the sooner the deadline, the more overtime the poor saps in charge of it all will have to work. That was how Luca found himself for these past couple weeks: worked like a dog to make sure this new office building was wired and ready to go by July 15th, and he was already sick and tired of seeing wires strewn about every which way. The overtime pay was good, no doubt about that, but it didn't leave him much time for anything else. By the time he got home, there was time for a shower, food, call up Dianthe to see how her day was, then pass out watching a movie on the couch just to wake up and do it all again.

Today, there was a nice surprise waiting for him at his assigned desk. A basket of all kinds of sweets, fruits and wines, with pretty little decorations all around. The note in front of it said that it was from Di, and before he even read the note, he was smiling from ear to ear, causing a couple of his coworkers to wonder just what the hell was in the basket. Reading the note, he laughed a little to himself, checking his schedule for today. There'd be some time to give her a call on lunch break, and Luca just had to figure out the perfect way of saying 'thank you'.
