An Arctic Shadow: -Samantha Montgomery heard about the Trinity Club from friends at work, and decided to have a night out on the town to explore it. With three levels and a VIP room set off to the side, it had appeal for everyone, including the
An Arctic Shadow: young tigress. No school meant fun ruled, and she had finished a few projects for her other classes, including the History assignment that Dr. Costello required of her and the rest of the class. Knowing that he was also a tiger, was
An Arctic Shadow: reassuring to her, in a place of strangers. Sam was from the Pacific Northwest, but on the Canadian side of Vancouver, British Columbia. Her tight knit family called her constantly to check up on her, and even though she was away
An Arctic Shadow: from the Clan, she could never really, truly be away from them. That pressure made her want a couple of drinks and some dancing at Trinity. She pulled up in a yellow cab, since all she had was a bicycle until she found a beater car
An Arctic Shadow: to drive back and forth across town. Shields up, she was a brunette beauty. Her hair was pinned up, with a spiral of a curl floating down to caress her cheeks, and a little black dress that hugged her willowy figure. Hose and heels,
An Arctic Shadow: couldn't go wrong with that. Some golden bangles chimed at her wrist as she stole a peek at the dance floor while checking in at the door with the bouncer. She had to show an ID and pay the cover charge for entry, but once inside,
An Arctic Shadow: she gripped her golden clutch purse, and strolled in like she owned the place. The music was rolling on vinyl, and not DVDs from the DJ spinning. The main floor was full up with folks all shapes, colors, and definitely kinds. She
An Arctic Shadow: caught the scents of different beings, which were strange to her, since she grew up rather protected by her parents, Kellan and Lucia Montgomery. Now to break the mold. Inching up to the bar, she ordered a lime mojito. Observing
An Arctic Shadow: all the goings on that surrounded her.-
vibloodyrebeliv: He swore if anyone looked at him wrong, or even cross eyed Axel himself would be going to jail tonight. Maybe that's where he needed to be kept trapped behind bars and laying in a jail cell for a night or two. Fuck THAT. Deciding to try this again, he finally made the choice to put the papers and pen down and hide the Professor act away for a weekend.
vibloodyrebeliv: Although Axel did not stand in line long, but once he gotten inside to the bar he went. Avoiding any eye contact with anyone, or even interested in what existed around him. Of course his attitude would suck tonight, he would probably be slapped in the face and named called by. Dick, asshole, or the famous one of all trades. 'You dirty bastard' grinning to himself, as he took a seat at the bar and just reached across the counter taking a bottle of whiskey for himself.
vibloodyrebeliv: He was a regular already, they knew when he took a bottle he meant business. And money. And problay a taxi to go home in. But no deciding he would not act like a fool tonight or even consider being under the influence. "God damn it.." he cursed, looking at the bartender. "Give me an ice water.." as fingers wrapped around the bottle of whiskeys neck, he placed it back behind the bar and turned spinning around on the stool.
vibloodyrebeliv: facing the wild crowd he fought the urge to even drink tonight. The kind of mood he was in, he didn't need to have anything in his system, it was bad enough with some poor American walking up to him and starting a fist fight, well Axel wouldn't be able to control himself he'd kill a mother fucker, then be convinced and arrested by the new Master of The City. "Oh by the way... I'm the new Master of the City.." rolling his eyes as he yelled for the bartender. "Hey." he said, "Better yet, bring me the whiskey.." <d>
Natural Enigma: Addison had yet to visit the nightclub, since the move, too many things had been a constant change upon arrival. The jeans had been ditched for more appropriate evening attire. A little no back crimson halter dress that clung
Natural Enigma: suggestively to what curves the tall, slender woman had. You would have assumed she was just any other person as she made her way passed everyone that seemed to be waiting in line. Identification? No. Unless you counted just
Natural Enigma: knowing who she was, a quick inclination of her head to the bouncer and she was let inside. All of her shields in place as she maneuvered her way around those lingering about the dance floor, either without any rhythm or just too
Natural Enigma: scared to dance. She didn't need to go to the bar, after all she didn't drink or at least not the kind of beverages they were selling. Around the main dance floor she found the stairs to the second level, less people, it wasn't
Natural Enigma: quite as loud, at least she wouldn't have to yell to have a conversation. Taking a seat on one of the couches that rested against the wall, she was content to just feed off the energy of the room. Hell, it was the weekend, bodies
Natural Enigma: sliding against one another, beautiful people... would you really expect less from a Belle Morte vampire? -d-
PaIe Spark: Oh what a night! After the conclusion of the planned and unplanned day's business, it had been suggested that he meet Addison, by her, at the club called Trinity. He circled the block once, in that monstrosity of a
PaIe Spark: vehicle he was assigned. Fuck the line in its ass that went around the block. Sure, he had creds that he could flash and just "badge" himself right on in, but then the game would be up. He had a better idea that
PaIe Spark: wouldn't attract nearly as much attention. He parked his official use, not quite on official use, suburban off on a side street and hiked his ass through the back alley of the club to the service entrance.
PaIe Spark: There were two employee's out back enjoying their apparent break, smoking a cigarette who eyed the GQ looking Nick, unfamiliar to them as he was, when he walked right on past them. No badge, no smile, no
PaIe Spark: name, but rather right on in as if he owned the place and a look in his eye that gave the obligatory 'get the fuck out of my way'. Surely even amidst all the confusion, chaos, and the sea of dancing flesh his scent would
PaIe Spark: be noticed by her? After all he was one of a kind. He made his way through a corridor, following the sounds of the dance floor. The service area he was in was surprisingly well sound proofed. He slithered without
PaIe Spark: incident out from the quasi-restricted employees area, surprised that his presence there had not been challenged. He'd have used his proper identification then, but all the same found himself at his intended destination
PaIe Spark: … The relative calm of the back area had instantly been shattered as he'd come through a door, and out into the flood of light, bodies, and sound. He gazed around, taking further note of situation he'd expected and smiled.
PaIe Spark: Naturally, he was dressed in nothing less than a bespoke suit, black with faint, thin, crimson pin striping which was cut to his form perfectly. The tie was patterned silver and red silk against a white French cuff shirt, and of PaIe Spark: Course he was wearing a particular set of bonded Jade cufflinks. Black shoes, polished, no scuff. While one might assume the young man was there to party, and he was, he had just come from work. Where oh where could
PaIe Spark: she be? He decided that it was time for a drink, that at the least he would have something to sip on while seeking her out.
(d)
An Arctic Shadow: -Samantha paid for and collected her lime mojito a wedge of fresh lime clinging to the tumblers lip, along with a cocktail straw in it as she stirred up her drink impassively. Casting her hazel gaze around the bar, she was about to
An Arctic Shadow: take a sip when she spotted her professor, Dr. Costello acting sort of weird with a bottle of scotch whisky in his hand. It also didn't help that he was announcing to the patrons at the bar that he was the Master of the City. O-M-G.
An Arctic Shadow: Was this the same guy that was so stern in the lecture hall enough to give a pop quiz to the class because a dude laughed? Samantha weaved between folks to get to him before he made a complete jackass out of himself. He was Khan,
An Arctic Shadow: but was showing a side of himself that no one in power of her Clan had ever done. As she passed a human, her gaze was stuck on the French cuff shirt. It seemed rather antiquated for a place like this. "Hello," she said to Nick.
An Arctic Shadow: After all, it was rude to stare. She found herself standing behind Axel, and she slowly let her veil of secrecy down. Shields lowered, her radiant energy would wash over him, to help clear his mind. Put him at ease. "Dr. Costello."
An Arctic Shadow: Samantha said in a lean against the bar, a nice package dressed in a black dress and heels. Once that was done, she hoped that her energy somehow sobered his ass up, because anyone could have heard that comment from him and taken it
An Arctic Shadow: the wrong way. "Are you all right?"-
vibloodyrebeliv: Quirking a brow as he heard a familiar voice, it was not too familiar but then at all odds. The small brush of power that washed over his was a little bit more familiar, then it all clicked adding two and two together. Sitting his glass down on the bar as he saw the very slender figure lean in against the bar to his full view.
vibloodyrebeliv: Opening his mouth - then closing it as he had forgotten what he was going to say. True he did have a lot on his mind, but he never expected to run into one of his students at Trinity. 'Are you all right?' Smirking at her "Hello Samantha" Axel said, raising his brows "Never been better" Twisting slightly on the barstool as he wanted to face her a little.
ibloodyrebeliv: Motioning his hand to the barstool next to him. "Have a seat" he assured her, just having another tiger in the city seemed to ease all his problems - well not all but at least calm him a bit. He had a big fucking house to himself, was now loyal to a vampire. Oh wait. Master of the City. Seemly that convo has not been stretched out to the limit as of yet. "Wish a drink? I know I do" picking up the clear glass as he swirled the amber liquid around and around then taking a sip.
vibloodyrebeliv: His gaze then glanced over towards the guy with the suit. Rolling his eyes. "Yes that'll give you attention" then turning his back to the crowd as he grinned looking at Samantha. "Enjoying the new city? Needed to get out a party a little hm.. well just be careful..."
Natural Enigma: Tigers and Nick. A metaphysical connection to both, she could sense both presences within the mass of people at the club. She had only known of one tiger in the city, but this was not a bad thing, in truth. Leave her seat, and go
Natural Enigma: actually find them? Eh, that meant a lot of unnecessary action on her part. She was not one to flaunt power. Never, but just reaching out wasn't anything of the sort in her book. Her power was always like a brush of cool wind, in
Natural Enigma: this place how would it not be distinguished from the ambiance provided? Having left her hair down it brushed along her back as she straightened and leaned forward just enough to look down on the lower floor, a dark honeyed colored
Natural Enigma: gaze flickered over people quickly dismissing them, as she fixed on the people she was actually looking for. As it was fair, all of them in a rather close knit group, even if Axel and the young brunette didn't know Nick. Master
Natural Enigma: of the City was still quite new, so being noticed by "humans" she doubted. Some of the more alpha members of the preternatural community probably knew exactly who she was. Leaning back in her seat, she went back to silently
Natural Enigma: watching. Everyone interested Addison, it was the way people thought, behaved, and the why's behind it. Go figure exactly why she was the part of a behavioral analysis unit. After over three hundred years some people and other
Natural Enigma: species had the ability to surprise her. Axel for instance she never really pictured as an ass or one that drank exceedingly but as said surprises did happen. -d-
PaIe Spark: Nick had to smirk as a young woman almost stopped at stared, for whatever reasons obvious which came to mind. He chuckled with the thought that maybe she'd liked his cufflinks, she had been staring more at his hands
PaIe Spark: which had been at his sides more so than his face. She quickly moved on after realizing he'd noticed, though offering a "Hello", to which Nick gave in an amused almost endearing 'Hello' back as she passed him by.
PaIe Spark: Nick had followed the young woman, in the loosest sense that he could be considered having followed her, to the bar in order to procure beverage. He generally, as a rule, took note of his surroundings
PaIe Spark: and namely the people in them. He noted the look from one particular patron, whom the young woman had gone to socialize with, who had rolled his eyes and made some sort of commentary in what could
PaIe Spark: only be presumed the spirit of jealousy. Probably the chick's big bad boyfriend. Nick dint's know, didn't care. It was always best to leave "them" wondering, and as far as people thinking what they did? Good.
PaIe Spark: 'Fuck em' and while Nicks eye's reflected as much in that sentiment for the all of a second eye contact had been made? His smile maintained steadfast. The Truth was much worse than the unfounded presumptions undoubtedly being made.
PaIe Spark: He wasn't there, at trinity, for "that". Now of course Nick had no clue as to who the two personalities in close proximity to him actually were, and how unwittingly he was already tied to them, how could he? The
PaIe Spark: issue at hand was being solved, as he had immediately gotten the "attention" of one of the bartenders with a deviation of that pale blue-green gaze, of which hers was met, and no time wasted in ordering up a Gin
PaIe Spark: and tonic. Bombay Sapphire no less. Juniper berry was just the trick, even though how much of it was actually still active in the beverage could be debated. All the same, cash for liquid, on the rocks was exchanged
PaIe Spark: and in that moment he felt a familiar push of presence wash over him. Familiar? Not entirely in the sense that it might have been to others of the preternatural lot. Familiar in that it was invariably her. Addison. She was
PaIe Spark: watching, and in a new way for her way… calling? New as in "new" for her that she could? No. New as in it having been the first time he'd experienced such? Yes. Making the assumption then, an educated guess,
PaIe Spark: really that she had line of sight on him. It meant that while in her case it was probably a non-issue, though within his understanding it would have been easier from a vantage point… such as the second floor.
PaIe Spark: His glass was brought to his lips for a slow sip, turning around, and deliberately scanning the upper level for a sign, or hopeful sighting. (d)
An Arctic Shadow: -It didn't sound as though Dr. Costello was fine. He seemed to have a lot on his mind in fact. A penny for his thoughts? "Um, you like just totally announced to the people at the bar that you were the Master of the City." she said
An Arctic Shadow: in a hushed tone of voice. She was growing slightly agitated by his laissez faire attitude. She had been taught to not draw attention to herself. Especially in a public place like this. There were beings that could possibly cause
An Arctic Shadow: harm if not permanent damage. "I have a drink, Dr. Costello." she said with a slight frown to her lips. Wasn't this the pot calling the kettle black. Here he was telling her she needed to be careful, "Maybe you need to take some of
An Arctic Shadow: your own advice." The snow white queen could stand up for herself, that was for sure. Something felt weird on her bare skin, prickling the nerve endings like someone had turned on an air conditioning vent above her. She glanced over to
An Arctic Shadow: the wall, then looked up at the railing where Addison had stood only moments before. Whatever it was, she felt cold. Now there was a snarky comment shot in the direction of Nick, from Axel. Samantha didn't know what the deal was,
An Arctic Shadow: but Axel seemed to be having issues. "All the drinking in the world isn't going to make you drunk you know." she stated a fact. Axel was about as human as her left toe. No matter what the lycanthrope did to quell his problems with the
An Arctic Shadow: world alcohol was a poor choice. He wouldn't get drunk and forget shit like a human would. She noticed Nick looking up when she did, and said to him. "I think they must have turned the air conditioning on, or there's a vent close
An Arctic Shadow: by." Call her naive, but she had been in an overprotective clan. Vampires were foreign to her. So was their power, which she was feeling but couldn't identify. "I don't want to sit. I didn't come all the way from the hotel to sit. I
An Arctic Shadow: could do that in my room." she said to Axel. "Or your class." she joked, trying to make light of the situation. "I wanted to go upstairs with my mojito, and just like get lost in the music, if you know what I mean." Sam said with a
An Arctic Shadow: smile.
vibloodyrebeliv: Quirking a brow, as he then released it many did not know what Axel was talking about on the behalf of it. He couldn't help but let a smirk spread along his lips. "No." he shook his head, then feeling a well known presents as Axel did not have to search or know where it was coming from. Turning back around on the stool to face Samantha once again. His gaze looked up toward the second level of the club as his eyes met with Addison's for a moment. "It's a long story" Snapping his glance away as his full attention was turned to Samantha - tilting his head as she acted like a Big Girl.
vibloodyrebeliv: He was on the very edge of a new breaking dawn. Axel himself was just about to snap. With the conversation between the two of them - he did not have time for this. "Well" he said "Sorry for not paying attention - to the drink - as far as sitting, if you wish not to sit or sat what ever the hell it is you do... then your always free to drop my class.." he gave a sarcastic smile. Twisting around on the stool as he grabbed his drink he had no time for it none of it at all - then taking a second guess he sat the drink down. "Excuse Me..."
vibloodyrebeliv: Standing from his seat as he turned and started to walk away. While he quickly decided to merge through the crowd he was thinking about all deals were off. Axel was not born a were tiger or lived with firm family strict rules or sons and daughters, grandchildren who had to do everything by their beck and call. Thinking of returning to Rome was great thought for himself - Axel headed towards the men's room as he pushed the door open and ventured inside and quickly managed to head for the sink twisting the knob he splashed water on his face, a couple of times to just take a chill to relax raising up he snapped some paper towels up drying his face. "Women...." <d>
Natural Enigma: Without a doubt, she knew they had gotten the message she was there. No orders given, up until that week she had always been happy to just be the second in command. The power was there after two hundred years to take a city but
Natural Enigma: never power hungry enough just to go in and take it. This was a new twist of events the former Master had been called by the council. A couple college kids had gathered her attention a couple tables away, lust, love, desire. It
Natural Enigma: all fit for her needs that night. She was in a rather quiet mood, things in the city rather calm for the most part. Was she in a party mood by the classic sense? Eh, wouldn't say that exactly but it was the perfect place for her
Natural Enigma: to be in order to feed certain needs, if she didn't desire to find an outlet for that else where. She stood back at the balcony, the couple she had quickly lost interest in as soon as they satisfied her curiosity, and more. Nick
Natural Enigma: she saw drink in hand as if it had been his phone. She didn't mind turning her back to those that had gathered on the second level, but even that was getting old, she had not longer been enthralled with the lot that was present. A
Natural Enigma: flippant wave of wrist was given in order to snare the nearest barkeep/ waitress. " There is a VIP area here right?" Not that the answer was needed. No. All clubs of this magnitude with luster had one, and she wanted exclusive
Natural Enigma: right to it at that moment. The blonde woman started to give her one of those smart ass answers like if she had to ask, then no. Until she finally looked up and saw who was inquiring about it. She nodded almost as if compelled
Natural Enigma: but she wasn't, Nothing needed to be said she merely lead Addison in the appropriate direction. Coming to a halt at the edge. A murmur given. " Nice."
PaIe Spark: He took note in his peripheral that the young brunette, probably only a handful of years younger than himself, had been speaking directly to him all the while his gaze remained glued to Addison's who was staring from above.
PaIe Spark: Nick smiled sweetly and offered a soft, entertained, chuckle at the girls supposition. "Maybe. Wouldn't want folks getting any hotter than they already are"… Of course he wasn't going to give a tidbit of what he knew
PaIe Spark: as fact and true to those who for whom unless otherwise dictated, had no business knowing. He did not inflame the situation further by making reply more than necessary, rather his polite reply to the young woman would
PaIe Spark: end at "that". He wasn't one to antagonize, ordinarily, unless it was called for. He did monitor the remainder of the conversation though. From what he gathered the situation next to him was a case of student -
PaIe Spark: teacher extracurricular. Maybe. Perhaps not. When teacher excused himself from the situation, Nick had about been ready to follow suit. He wouldn't dare keep Addison waiting, not longer than the few seconds it took to form an intere
PaIe Spark: sting thought. There was occasion, and oh there was opportunity. On second thought? The girl had said she'd wanted to go upstairs for drinks and dancing? He tilted his head slightly enough towards the brunette and with that
PaIe Spark: trademark Nick West smile so gorgeous it was almost wicked made proposal. "Well then. Still want to go get lost in the music"? Naturally he was Addison's, but the whole idea was that it was not "what it was", more what it "looked
PaIe Spark: like". Fire for effect. In this case? Nick had decided to antagonize the situation, that if indeed young student girl there had been hot for teacher, that he would take advantage of and exploit the situation with the intent of
PaIe Spark: antagonizing another. Nick had no intentions of doing anything a hair more sinister. Of course, there was how he was going to make things appear, that was… if the young woman obliged his suggestion. He gave her a "look", that in
PaIe Spark: any other time in his life would have signified genuine intent, not then giving her the chance to immediately answer, but rather his expression suggested she follow as he stepped off towards the stairs. At the very least it
PaIe Spark: would send a message. Well assuming the presumption of anything so "taboo" as a student teacher relationship was indeed taking place. The look that the man had given him? Warranted that Nick would strike up
PaIe Spark: for good measure a touch of trouble in paradise. Well, if indeed his presumption was correct, more so than there already appeared to be. If not? No harm, no foul, and the most that would happen was an introduction to Addison
PaIe Spark: and a seat at their table, and even perhaps the implied dance. Now of course he would introduce the girl to Addi, he had to, as a consequence of executing his little antagonistic, almost spiteful maneuver. He almost
PaIe Spark: hoped that his presumption was accurate, and that even despite such presumed relationship that the girl followed him. He took another sip of his beverage as a particular sensation washed over him, as if welcoming
PaIe Spark: and old friend he'd not had the pleasure of in a long long while… cruelty, it was going to be fun, and it was the name of the game, and it was only in the infancy of its beginning. Usually Nick wasn’t so petty, but when in Rome... He
PaIe Spark: ascended the stairwell as if indeed he owned the place, looking every bit as VIP and more than such known or unknown patrons in the house and immediately scanned the second floor for Addi, locating her just as she was being led off
PaIe Spark: by one of the clubs hostesses. He stepped up the pace, and not that his presence would come as any surprised to one who'd known he had been coming. (d)
An Arctic Shadow: -Samantha leaned against the bar in total shock and disbelief over what Axel had said to her, and as he left her to stand there in solitude and confusion while he left his drink behind. She could not believe how blatantly rude he
An Arctic Shadow: had been to her. As he left, she whispered through gritted teeth. "Asshole." Her head lifted with a regal tilt, as Nick was speaking to her. It seemed a lot of people were assuming shit they needn't have bothered to. Her personal
An Arctic Shadow: life centered around her studies, and nothing more. There had been no student-teacher relationship, and judging by the way she was blown off like she was just another lycanthrope there wouldn't be any sparks appearing any time soon.
An Arctic Shadow: She would go upstairs on her own terms, grabbing her drink, her carriage one of royalty, not something cheap and tawdry. And the funny thing about lycanthropes, they could read through a human's motives in a New York minute. She too
An Arctic Shadow: could play the game. Smiling back to Nick, with one of her cherry ice cream smiles, she turned on her own charm. "I'm already there." She wasn't a follower, she was groomed to be a leader from the word go. Whatever Nick's true
An Arctic Shadow: motive had been, it had been detected by Sam. So the tigress was on guard for anything out of the ordinary. Up the stairs she stepped elegantly, and gracefully. The closer she got to the second floor, the more her skin prickled and
An Arctic Shadow: she felt cold. Nick took off like a rocket after a woman who was being led to what seemed to be a private VIP section. It was where she froze for a moment, feeling a sense of power here that she hadn't felt before. IT was strong.
An Arctic Shadow: By the time she caught up with Nick, he was already there, and she wound up following behind him anyway, while her mind wrapped around this strange sense of power. It wasn't lycan. It was definitely something she had not yet before
An Arctic Shadow: experienced.-
Natural Enigma: Addison had maintained a more delicate appearance, it didn't bespeak the power she wielded, but it could be felt even by the most "normal" of those not. Fingers slid easily though her hair and pushed it behind one ear as she looked
Natural Enigma: up to see both Nick and the brunette enough she didn't have to peer thought a maze of people. A lingering gaze over Nick and then the woman, she didn't know but was sure she was going to. There was that sense of what she was, even
Natural Enigma: if she would have to inquire. Polite dispositions was were not dead, even if they seemed to be in the club that night. A graceful tilt of her head was given the tigress upon her approach how bold. She liked that. " Hello." ...
Natural Enigma: first offered her, and then she looked over at Nick. " I see you got my note." She didn't even pretend there was something between them, did she need to? Most things appeared as they were if you looked hard enough. Should She
Natural Enigma: have been concerned or bothered if he had been attempting to seduce the young lady? Not really. She had never once put any conditions on their relationship. " Would you like to have a seat." Indeed that cold prickling she was
Natural Enigma: experiencing was not asking her to have a seat.
PaIe Spark: His motivations were nothing truly sinister, regarding the young woman. All assumptions, accurate or inaccurate, made aside he was simply taking a shot in the dark on one of them and standing clear to see the
PaIe Spark: effect. Really? In either case the girl had seemed friendly, sweet enough in regard to her known to be teacher, possible in his assumption lover, given the thought process. Why had such an assumption even been
PaIe Spark: born? Nick as a rule wouldn't give such much weight, as it could have just as easily been false, but it was largely based on the teachers initial expression, the look he had given, and presumed commentary.
PaIe Spark: It either meant in Nicks book, that he'd gotten jealous when the girl had been staring at him and said hello. Which would dictate, as per a reason for such "jealousy" that there was some sort of "involvement".
PaIe Spark: If indeed that proved to be completely inaccurate, false? Than it was just as plausible that the guy gave two shits about the girl beyond a student-teacher relationship and that Nicks observations were not founded
PaIe Spark: Further than any other reasoning than that the guy was just A) A dick. or B) A drunk dick. In either case? Not relevant, not really. Was Nick actually trying to seduce the young woman? No. What he was trying to do, assuming that
PaIe Spark: she had been "involved", with her teacher as per a shot in the dark though plausible... was spite and slight the man, by absconding away with something he might have cared about. It sent a message. If in fact Nick was entirely false
PaIe Spark: in that much, which was possible? No harm, no foul. Was it a dick move? Sure. If he was indeed correct, it was also necessary in his book. Now, he had no idea that things concerning the brunette and her teacher were a little more
PaIe Spark: complex than the game he was playing. Honestly? He hadn't even looked to see if the girl had followed him. That was a rule. You never looked back. He came up on Addison and smiled. "Of course I got your note"... He wouldn't be at
n Arctic Shadow: -She was far from being a girl, firstly. She was a woman in bloom. The drink in her hand had condensed on the sides so she took a sip of it finally, wishing it would take the edge of tension off. They were at an advantage being they
An Arctic Shadow: knew each other, and apparently more so from the looks of it. A brow arched at the embrace between them, it wasn't as though she hadn't seen it coming. The woman sent mixed signals, join them, don't join them. "My name is Samantha
An Arctic Shadow: Montgomery." she introduced herself to Nick and Addison. It was the polite thing to do, after all. At least where she came from. And Nick's not looking back kind of put Sam off, showing obvious disinterest. She didn't wish to be a
An Arctic Shadow: third wheel, so she excused herself. "I think I am going to get my dance in and head back home." It was getting late anyway, her fun had been spoiled mostly, and she couldn't stand that prickly sensation on her bare skin. Turning on
An Arctic Shadow: her heel, she walked gracefully away to the dance floor on the second level. She had to wait for a good song to come on, so while she did, she sat down at a table to drink her lime mojito. A Flyleaf song came on over the speakers,
An Arctic Shadow: and Samantha was up and dancing, mostly by herself. But she was lost in a sea of bodies that were all moving to the same tune.-
Natural Enigma: Did Addison mean to send mixed signals? No. The link between them was purely metaphysical, in close proximity, that inviting pull would always be felt, but she wasn't about to be rude and force the woman to take a sit. Indeed the
Natural Enigma: two of them knew each other, but they could have just been really good friends. At least in her thought process, " It's a pleasure. Addison Constance." After the girl had introduced herself. Could or would Addison have turned off
Natural Enigma: that annoying prickle? it's doubtful. She liked to know who was who, but she didn't really get enough from the young woman to say. There was something there, what? She was lycanthrope, but Addison's? She wouldn't have said with
Natural Enigma: utmost certainty. As the woman walked away, her gaze followed her, even as she offered Nick a genuinely warm smile despite the fact everything about her was a bit cool, he would know it was there, she was positive of that much at
Natural Enigma: least. After greeting Nick, fingers slipped around his elbow, curling slightly inward. " Something about her, but I can't put my finger on it." That was all she shared though, The woman had gotten up from her seat to mingle with
Natural Enigma: rest of those her age. Addison let go of Nick's arm and finally took a seat in the roped off area of the club. Where she could assume a multitude of drug deals went down nightly, it was only then she let her attention be really
Natural Enigma: distracted from trying to figure out the connection. -d-
Opaquedelusions: Vacations were nice, and Kira planned on making her vacation worth it by exploring the city she'd recently arrived in. It was just a bit difficult to get to know the city around her when her time out was so limited to non-daylight
Opaquedelusions: hours that didn't carry with them work obligations. She hadn't put great effort into looking good tonight but not even the baggiest of clothing could hide genetics that just had one born with the ability to turn heads. It was a
Opaquedelusions: simple black dress she wore tonight but it did everything to bring out the darker features of her face and hair. It wasn't human attention she was looking for tonight. The second point of the outing was to find out just what kind of
Opaquedelusions: creatures were in the city as well. Nightclubs were the best place to find the things that went bump in the night right? So she made her way via cab to the most interesting one. It was more like a eni meni myni mo choice but
Opaquedelusions: she felt lucky. She made no attempt to hide anything strange about her that other supernaturals might pick up on, what was the fun in that? Much more fun to make them question what they probably wouldn't get an answer about without
Opaquedelusions: confronting her. Confrontations were fun though. No one had ever gotten away from a conversation with her without her knowing something in return. Even the simplest of body gestures could give her a wealth of information about the
Opaquedelusions: person or creature she was talking to. Quick work was made of entering the club and taking a seat in just the way one would expect a predator to do, in a place where her back was facing the wall and she could see the whole room. She
Opaquedelusions: wanted to study her "prey" first, get a feel for them and so she started herself off with a simple whiskey sour, taking the maraschino cherry out and trying her skills at twisting the stem into a knot just for kicks (d)
PaIe Spark: Nick's eyes addressed Samantha Montgomery further, then that she'd given her name. He had gotten so wrapped up in being a dick, that he'd disregarded collateral. The collateral inflicted was in that the pretty young thing
PaIe Spark: he'd lured to spite another. Now ordinarily he might not have given a second thought about it right? Just a cost of doing business. In this case Addison seemed to have particular interest in the young woman.
PaIe Spark: After Addison had introduced herself, even after then coming to realize the awkwardness of the situation he had created, considering Samantha's position. He never got the chance to introduce himself.
PaIe Spark: She'd scurried off seeming in a hurry to get out of there after Addi had introduced herself, for any number of reasons. Oh there that she might have realized, or suspected what he was up to? The fact was
PaIe Spark: That he had been up to something, if one read into it. That, or perhaps she had an issue with the fact that he had suggested a dance, but had immediately went to the arms of another woman. Sure. It was awkward.
PaIe Spark: Nick wondered then further if it really did have something to do with Addi then? Being that she claimed there was 'something about her'. Nick supposed then that he could make an effort to remedy what he
PaIe Spark: Had done, and kill two birds with one stone. "Perhaps then, if you cannot put your finger on it… than I should"?... He smiled sweetly, not really betraying entirely what he meant. What he meant? That he presumed
PaIe Spark: Should would understand? Was that given his given talent, he could figure out the deal with Miss Samantha real quick, more than likely. (d)
Natural Enigma: One minute she was there and Addison had been watching with rapt interest, the next the song was over and the young woman was gone. It wasn't something that Addison was going to allow to bother her in any such fashion. A glance
Natural Enigma: over at her dynamic duo partner speaking rather softly for a club atmosphere, " Another time perhaps?" She gave another slight shake of her head causing an irrating sweep of her hair over her bare back. " How was your day?" She
Natural Enigma: had been attempting a polite conversation with the woman and inadvently not even inquired. Surely he knew her mind was elsewhere. Happened. There was the same skinny blonde that had shown her to the VIP section once again there,
Natural Enigma: she'd of course as if she could get them anything to drink. Was her job after all, Nick did look like he paid well, and who knew they could have been drug dealers instead of government employees. Addison, waved a dismissive hand.
Natural Enigma: No need to alert the whole club, the Master of the City was in the house was there? She thought not. With everything in the air so to speak, Addison had feed and well, given her the illusion of humanity even. More of a flesh
Natural Enigma: color than her usual alabaster hue -d-
Opaquedelusions: She entertained herself through watching the different people, speculating on jobs, relationships and generally just prodding about at ideas based upon their movements and actions. She liked reading people like this, it was almost
Opaquedelusions: relaxing, but it had started gaining her some unwanted male attention and soon she took to looking at the club itself to find interesting things. She started to pull in the scents around her on a second thought. Human, human, human,
Opaquedelusions: something different. Her eyes shot to that "different" smell and but it was fleeting, out the door. Well it at least confirmed her speculation that there were other things in the city. She set that scent away in mental storage for
Opaquedelusions: further investigation later and let her eyes return to people watching when she thought that attention was no longer on her as an attractive thing to pick up tonight. (d)
PaIe Spark: It would have to be another time. The song ended soon enough, and he'd not made his move. "Perhaps"... He considered it. Really having no interest in it other than sating Addison’s suggested curiosity, if there existed a continued
PaIe Spark: interest. “My day? Uneventful. Nothing so exciting, just a press release, in and out of meetings all day concerning that matter and a few others"... Of course he could tell Addi's mind was elsewhere, but really? Where? He decided to
PaIe Spark: find out. "and how was your night"? His right hand came to settle just over her left hip, while his left had since found its place resting upon her lower back after having had set his drink aside and onto the table the pair stood
PaIe Spark: next to. That sweet smile of his widening slightly before his proclamation. "You look lovely tonight"... Really? Just like she did every night. A side effect of being the Belle Morte that she was. No, Nick was not restating the obvi
PaIe Spark: ous, but rather commenting and complimenting subtly in his way that he approved, more than, of the change in attrie. This was the first time after all he'd seen Addi in a dress.(d)
rm of a woman pulled back from what was obviously her date, her attention was fixed on the pair. She didn't have to be too perceptive to
Opaquedelusions: catch key words in their conversation, they weren't too far away. She gathered the girl's date had wandering eyes syndrome and a slow smirk pulled across her face as she turned to catch eyes with the man. She pulled the cherry stem,
Opaquedelusions: not tied in a knot, out of her mouth slowly and set it on the small napkin her drink sat on, keeping that pleased grin on her face the whole while. She could almost feel the tension in the air rise as he realized what she was
Opaquedelusions: showing him. There was an instant reaction from his date however as her hand came up to smack across his face and redirect his attention. Her eyes lit up at that, the conflict she'd sparked with that simple action was an almost
Opaquedelusions: palpable thing in the air to her. Definitely something to feed that devious need in her to cause conflict. An argument rumbled between the two, like the break of thunder over the sky before a storm. (d)
PaIe Spark: Of course it stood that her night had been 'fair' thus far, after all, it had only but begun had it not? Better that for her than had it already been for her that which his day had been for him. He'd needed the drink
PaIe Spark: as well having felt he'd earned it. A smirk formed at her inquiry of her loveliness, she knew damn well she looked good in anything just as well that she did in absolutely nothing. "Do you even need to ask"?...
PaIe Spark: He laughed a moment then, entertained by the idea of earning her wrath in such a way. Her warning look duly noted. "I wouldn't dream of throwing your pants away dear darling Addi"… The mischievous
PaIe Spark: glint in his eyes suggested otherwise. Would he actually do it? No. As entertaining as the idea of forcing Addi to choose temporarily between walking around in the nude, in her skivvies, or leaving no
PaIe Spark: alternative other than her collection of high fashion available was… He wasn't like that, but her suggestion had definitely sparked the thought. Of course the kiss against his cheek erased all such shenanigans
PaIe Spark: from his thoughts. Dr. Costello? It would be just his fucking luck that Dr. Costello had been the man at the bar who had earned his ire. It would just figure, wouldn't it? Surely it couldn’t have been? The guy didn't
PaIe Spark: look like a "Doctor". Then again, Nick did not look like the typical same such of what he represented either, now did he? Nick considered it a moment longer than he really should have, debating, as Addi move away
PaIe Spark: to the railing. He offered her a half amused yet puzzled look concerning Dr. Costello. He picked up his drink and took a slow, long sip from it, his gaze lighting into hers at the short distance between them. "Younger guy,
PaIe Spark: teacher presumably at the college level sitting at the bar, had been chatted up by Miss Samantha Montgomery… that being this Dr. Costello by chance"?... He slowly made his way, closing the gap, to stand next
PaIe Spark: to Addi, while he waited for her confirmation one way or another. He was however not any longer looking at Addison, but rather a bit of violence breaking out on the fringe of the dance floor, lower level, near the bar.
PaIe Spark: It wasn’t anything the bouncers couldn’t stop, if they'd noticed. It wasn’t his job, quite yet then, to intervene even if other people might have been of the opinion that it was. He knew his job, his duties, and boundaries... that?
PaIe Spark: Down below? Had not yet crossed the Rubicon, where the intervention of say... Nicholas or Addison, as federal agents was necessary. Domestic violence wasn’t cute, no, but it was also not his purview. He had broad law enforcement aut
PaIe Spark: hoirity, and would step in naturally if lines were crossed. The situation needed developing though, first, and so he would simply watch.
PaIe Spark: (d)
Natural Enigma: Her attention was on the same little love spat. Addison thought it was a bit of comic relief given the night. Albeit she had been paying attention when Nick was speaking to her. " I wouldn't say younger, I would say your age. He
Natural Enigma: didn't appear to be in his element to night." Looking over at him momentarily as he stood near her. "And you... hitting on his woman. How dare you?" The last spoken in jest as she turned back to see just how what ever, she would
Natural Enigma: have presumed jealous had been the cause between the pair below. Man with 'wandering eye syndrome', woman just too insecure to let it be, maybe even both. All in all she wanted to see how it would all come to an end, poor guy how
Natural Enigma: humiliating would it be, slapped in front of all of those people, not to mentioned yelled at to the scope that people had infect turning to look. She scanned the lower floor with the same intense gaze, as she would have if it had
Natural Enigma: been something to do a bureau investigation. Clues, there was always clues right? "Press release, how did that go? Made everyone happy I assume." Had to be or there would have been more to here about it, correct. Not that
Natural Enigma: Addison was currently in reach of her phone had there been. -d-
Opaquedelusions: Maybe it was something only she and a few other certain creatures could feel but the vibrations in the air that came with that disturbance had always ran a thrill up her spine. Excitement, pure and simple. Heated emotions, especially
Opaquedelusions: the darker ones were the most exciting kind to feel and this certainly did look like it was going to become exciting. Being slapped in front of all those people certainly did have a sharp sting to it with the man, as was evident in
Opaquedelusions: his reaction, which was to grab at the woman's arm again. He wanted control of this outbreak, needed to keep it under control so as not to add add a stigma to his face in this club. He leaned in an said something in a whisper to
Opaquedelusions: ease his date out the door and into the open air where less eyes were pointed at them as entertainment. It was all he needed to mention that she was attracting unfavorable attention to herself to get her attention enough to leave. A
Opaquedelusions: dampener on Kira's entertainment though. The man simply couldn't resist a look in her direction before exiting though and she winked at him. A spark of something caught in her eyes, as if there were a light turning on under them for
Opaquedelusions: just a half of a second before the man's date dragged him out the door by his collar with a heated noise of frustration. (d)
PaIe Spark: Confirmed. SO in fact Addison knew that man, Dr. Costello, which brought up a question. What was Dr. Costello? Nick gave his glass a swirl before bringing it back up to his lips, while she went on to humorously accuse
PaIe Spark: him of hitting on Costello's woman. He lowered the glass with an almost sinister chuckle and considered, well, it wasn't like she didn't have a good idea. It wasn't like they weren't open anyway if she hadn't.
PaIe Spark: "He started it"… He smirked and chuckled more intensely. "She was giving me the eye or something when I came in through the back, said her hello, I said mine. Figured he's her boyfriend or something on top of teacher"
PaIe Spark: … "Don't know really, nor do I much care. He looked at me like I was some sort asshole though after that, so I figured I'd oblige his suspicions by absconding away with his woman. Assuming she is his woman. At least making
PaIe Spark: It look like it anyway… Childish? Petty? Yeah. Sue me"… He offered a snort as his glass was brought up again for a sip, watching the scene below unfold and develop further. Nicholas was not nearly as transparently interested with
PaIe Spark: What was transpiring below as Addison was. Ever watching, ever mindful, but unless you were in his head that much might as well have been a secret. "Press Release went well enough. Though we will see in the coming
PaIe Spark: days and weeks the true impact, as always. Made my boss happy. Mad the AUSA happy"… He shrugged as if indifferent. The situation below appeared to resolve itself on that note, sort of, as the feuding couple appeared to speak
PaIe Spark: and then in proximity to each other leave the club. Though, seconds before hitting the door something must have been said, or done, because the female abruptly took the male by force and literally dragged him out
PaIe Spark: the front doors while the other club goers who had noticed the events watched on, some expressionless, some pointing and laughing. Nick on the other hand simply glanced to Addi and smirked, obviously he was mildly entertained with
PaIe Spark: what had transpired below. "What did you make of that"?(D)
Natural Enigma: Display over, she turned to lean against the railing so that her back was to the bottom below, " Interesting but not nearly as much so if I had been dragging you out the door." A simple teasing remark to answer his question. She
Natural Enigma: was entertained by all sort of emotions, Her desire for the man had made for a bad situation, and his looked as if he desired more. Didn't matter so much in the light of things. People, had sex, fought, made up only to have sex
Natural Enigma: again was her take. She knew that his curiosity had been piqued by the fact she knew who and what the professor was. A slight lean in toward him, so that she could speak frankly without speaking loudly. " The professor who's
Natural Enigma: student, maybe girlfriend that you were attempting to take home is in a way... well a lycanthrope that I have a connection with. Tigers are my animal to 'call'." She was sure somewhere in Nick head he would decipher what she was
Natural Enigma: saying and if not he'd ask. She didn't ask him what he had thought of the incident below because he had already seemed so disinterested in it not long after he had accessed the situation and decided on his own that it was about. A
Natural Enigma: complete change of subject as she touched her head to his shoulder but just as quickly brought it away. " Houses, found any since you are awake during the day?" Still there was something in that club that kept her there. -d-
Opaquedelusions: Entertainment taken away and everyone apparently getting some rise out of what had happened, offended or amused by its procession, she felt a little satisfied. Although it had only been a small treat to keep her busy while she
Opaquedelusions: waited for the real prey to come out of hiding. She drew in another lengthy breath and felt more than smelled something was off. The scent was a distant echo of what she felt, maybe because the person of interest was too far away
Opaquedelusions: for her senses? However the feeling did peek her interests and her eyes flew over the crowd in front of her again. Human, human...so where was the thing she was feeling? She remembered the stairs and traced up them until she had a
Opaquedelusions: view of the second floor and those people who'd leaned over for a viewing of the little spat. There? (d)
PaIe Spark: He had to laugh at the thought of being in the same such situation as being dragged out the front door by Addison. "Don't threaten me with a good time darling"… His gaze shifted as his head tilted when she did lean towards
PaIe Spark: Him to further elaborate on the Dr. Costello "situation". He'd thought dear Addi hadn't been able to put her finger on it? Sounded like she had the situation figured out well enough to Nick. He smirked then, and his eyes despite
PaIe Spark: The amusement conveyed was mixed with a touch of disbelief. "A were-tiger"? He spoke above a whisper, but with the ambient noise none save for Addi would have heard him. Not unless they had a laser mic aimed at his face.
PaIe Spark: He took a finishing sip of his drink and summoned the blonde club girl to take the glass away. He wouldn't be needing another one, and shook his head no when she inquired as if to dismiss her further services. When she left the
PaIe Spark: Immediate area with his glass, Nicks gaze shifted back upon Addi. "I wasn’t attempting to take her home. I was attempting to take her away from 'Dr. Costello' to send a message, assuming then that she is his girlfriend"… "Not
PaIe Spark: important, not anymore. Though it brings up the issue, the question... if Samantha Montgomery is "That"... than What is Dr. Costello? Something if your familiar with him"... "How familiar are you with him"?... Nick was curious to a
PaIe Spark: point, though supposed it was Addi's business. The message he had been intending on sending? Assuming then, that Samantha was indeed the good Doctors girlfriend? Was that you could give him any look you wanted, you could say what
PaIe Spark: you wanted, and Hell it was a free world, but there could be "consequences". Perhaps he had been mistaken, and perhaps Samantha meant nothing to him, though given the look he'd been given... he had taken the beginnings of the appropr
PaIe Spark: iate actions in sending such a message. A stupid look and a few choice words? Go ahead. He'd "take" from you. Nick noted then that she was changing the subject, deflecting? Maybe. "I d
PaIe Spark: id not have the chance to deal with any of that today. No." Concerning the house issue. (d)
Natural Enigma: " Would I threaten you?" A fleeting glance given before going into the spiel about Axel. " I know. Were - tiger. Hardest form to catch." Just answering as he asked. She felt the gaze, there was no doubt about it. She
Natural Enigma: continued listening as she had brought up the subject. " Dr. sounds much to formal, his first name is Axel. How well do I know him. Well enough, but not as well as I know you." She wasn't sure if that would answer his questions
Natural Enigma: about her relationship with professor tiger, or with himself. She had not been telling him all of this because she believed there to be repercussions to what had went on between them, and after this, she had drawn a close on the
Natural Enigma: entire situation. " No problem, that is what the internet is used for ... after all." Meaning not being able to do what you needed to do during the daytime, and she did have time. It was the few hours she was awake during the
Natural Enigma: evening hours that she was unable to go outside during. A soft huff given under her breath as she turned back around, at that moment looking down toward the woman that was peering upward. 'She raked some strands of dark hair back
Natural Enigma: behind her left ear, as her honey gaze was as if stuck in that one spot. –d
Opaquedelusions: She caught the look of one woman and her focus became all about her. Something was off, something was missing or was added to the woman to make her very different from human. There was what she'd been looking for. There were more
Opaquedelusions: things than weres and vampires that the humans probably had no idea existed but looking at a well fed vampire was making it difficult to tell if she was one of those two or something more obscure. She pulled the rest of her drink to
Opaquedelusions: her lips and set the glass back down, never taking her eyes from the woman. Was it some sort of challenge to stare her down? No, Kira had never been that directly antagonistic, she was just curious and confused. The man beside her
Opaquedelusions: kept a distance that certainly remarked on his relationship with her, but there was nothing that popped out about him to tell her he was anything but human. Her thumbnail index finger tapped out against the table in front of her for
Opaquedelusions: a moment before she took her eyes away and started searching for more clues on what she could find of the upstairs from her view. Were there more than this woman? (d)
PaIe Spark: Nicholas listened intently, other than the subject matter being discussed one might have thought the pair were enjoying something intimate. Even after all the explanations concerning Dr. Costello, Axel, and his student which were
PaIe Spark: for the time being sufficient… He got the distinct impression that Addison’s head was somewhere else. She was still looking about, distracted down at the lower level. He tracked the area she was scanning and took note indeed of
PaIe Spark: a woman who was likewise inspecting the upper area, rather the very few people standing against a particular spot of railing. Himself, and Addison. She was looking right at them, rather right at Addison. An acquaintance? Not
PaIe Spark: taken as such given the expressions, and lack of which would have told him so. Then again she was a vampire, which had to be accounted for. The woman on the lower level was just… Staring. Nick shifted to slide an arm over
PaIe Spark: Addison’s shoulder, leaning intimately close to whisper into her ear as his eyes continued to track the woman below who had since looked away. "Do you know her"?(D)
same line of work.. what do you think?" She wasn't another vampire, Addison knew that much, and she didn't feel 'shifter' with her. Hm, in three hundred years she had almost perfected the ability to seek out humans,
Natural Enigma: That woman was no human, even they had a scent about them. Usually differing for each of them, -d-
Opaquedelusions: Kira ran by a strict rule of knowing just what situation she was walking into. That wasn't always a full proof plan but she could know as much as possible about the place she was walking into a "situation" in. She definitely didn't
Opaquedelusions: have the advantage of age but by virtue of what she was, she had enough advantages not to be caught with her pants down, so to speak. Her attention had been noticed, she knew that much but there was still debate in her mind as to if
Opaquedelusions: she wanted to make herself a very well known presence. Better to bite the bullet and get it all out there than have someone's lackeys snooping about behind her while she was trying to explore the city though. And couldn't she make
Opaquedelusions: new friends? Did she have friends? No, she'd never had a use for them. That wasn't to say she wasn't friendly, she just didn't form meaningful attachments to people very well. She slipped out of the chair she was sitting in, took a
Opaquedelusions: trip over to the bar and made a request for a red colored shot and what had to be a screw driver. She took another deep breath in before making her way to the stairs. Right, just bite the bullet and introduce yourself Kira, what's
Opaquedelusions: the worst that could happen? She didn't foresee herself becoming dinner or a toy to anything so...she was safe right? (d)
PaIe Spark: Nick shrugged his shoulders slightly. "I think you both were staring at each other like you know each other. Either that or she has the hots for you. I may have a neat tric
