Now, that I have your attention I really need someone assistance with activity week volunteers to help run the SL. We really do not need the mods so here is what everyone will do if their willing to work together to make ML a successful place. Recruit, Play, form SLs etc. If you're willing to lift a hand to do something then why not all of us make an effort to be of assistance.
Forming SLs
I been rping for 16 whole years, that's a very long time. I'm old school so I know what goes on in the roleplaying world so do not hesistate to contact me about any of the AB books or races as I know all of the characters etc. I'll also be around to open up rooms, but I can't do nothing without everyone pulling their own weight. Like a wolf pack, if one wolf doesn't make use of himself he is going to be put in his place correct? This alpha expects everyone to do his and her part regardless of what gender they are. I am offering some room for any members old and new who will like to do Activity Week. This means that we may all take turns, share ideas, and be useful. Let the mods relax, they need a break.
Here is a list of SLs.
The Personal SL - This is you and one person your character rps with such as a significant other, family member etc. Having time alone is not all that bad as it is a good thing. Ims, e-mails, and forums are good for those and not in a chatroom full of people.
The Closed SLs - You head a SL whether in a PR room or forum thread, you have control who can come into your SL and who cannot. If you was rping in a scene where there is a thunderstorm with three people clammered into a shabby, run down old house and your SL involves three people then put it down in parenthesis like this...This may also revolve around group SLs such as a pack of werewolves, pard etc and can invite others not of their kind to come join them if they want to or not.
Thunderstorm (Name 1, Name 2, Name 3)
That way no one else will interrupt the gameplay and they have to get permission from you as the SL leader to participate.
Opened SLs - Everyone and anyone can enter anytime they well please. You opened a thread where all players can play.
Wide Spread SLs - This is rare and occurs on certain days, this is called an Event setting where a player can set the scene, explain what is going on and how long this event is going to last. Is there a criminal in Seattle going around breaking into people's houses and need to be stopped? Is there a tornado coming that forces characters whether they like each other or not to call it a truce and work as a team to save as many lives as they can? If you are unable to come up with anything look at your news paper, watch the news on your television screen etc. Events happens all around us in every city. Even internationally. How severe is this SL? Is is something good happening? Is there something bad or somewhat in between?
This is as much info that can help with motivating the players.
Regular plays(Nothing happens, just everyone playing in a bar, club, inn etc.)
Set the Scene(wide spread SLs)
Social Gatherings (Player chooses a location and leaves the players to jump in whether they want to or not. Can be the zoo, the cruise ship, the beach etc. )
Recruiting (Opens a recruiting room)
Welcome Committee(welcomes new players to the SL.) It actually makes them feel like they belong at home with us. New players needs to be focused on as it makes a difference.
