Dianthe wasn't kidding when she said how far out she was. As Luca continued to blindly follow his GPS out to her location, it was quickly becoming apparent that if he went out any further, he might start seeing signs that pointed to Bumfuck, Egypt. Still, no distance was to great for Di. It was unfortunate that her car had decided to give out on her the night before, but hey, shit happens. She'd been talking about it at the coffee shop, so it seemed like it was only a matter of time anyway.
The healer had scrambled to get ready so quickly that he didn't have time to clean himself up, and the finished product had him looking like he was a lycan who had just shifted as well. His clothes were wrinkled and stiff in places from the sweat, his hair was going in every direction possible except for down, and his usually clean-shaven face hadn't seen a razor in two days. The worst part about it was that he was already a bit late for work today, and if grabbing Dianthe didn't send him over the acceptable time frame, then getting a shower would for sure.
The rain outside had everyone on the road driving like a bunch of elderly women, and the boy was in a hurry. Eventually, Luca found the proper exit towards last nights hunting grounds and slowly drifted to the red Charger on the side of the road with Dianthe inside. Parking the Grand Am behind the broken down paperweight, Luca carefully slid out of the car, still fatigued from the night before. The boy felt like he could have slept the rest of the day away if not for her call. "Going my way, sweetheart?" Luca asked sleepily as he half walked, half dragged his feet to Dianthe and her car. The rain wasn't quite heavy enough to keep him from going outside, and he actually kind of appreciated the light shower that nature was providing.

Dianthe wanted someplace remote to shift at, where there was a good hunting ground, and two weeks before the full moon arose she scouted out a few places with that ramshackle Challenger, before its untimely demise. Dianthe found this place, whether it was in Bumfuck, Eygpt or not, she wasn't going to complain about the whitetail deep population. The fawn had been tender and delicious. Just her rotten luck to have her car conked out forever on the side of the road, that's all. She hoped Luca would find her before the tow truck did. At least something was going her way!
Dianthe had finally extricated all the debris from her hair so Luca wouldn't have to see just how wild her dark curly mane was. About the only thing that soiled her were a few spots of blood, sweat, and Luca's semen. When she got home, she was definitely taking a shower. If Luca actually found her that is. Some spinning lights in Dianthe's rear view mirror signaled to her that the tow truck had arrived. Stepping out into the pouring rain, she received nature's version of a shower, growing soaking wet so that the sateen shirt clung to her. She flashed her AAA membership card, and signed some papers. Then the tow truck driver began the process of getting her Challenger hooked up to the tow truck.
Unfortunately for Dianthe, she had been standing out in the rain for about 10 minutes when Luca pulled up in the silver Grand Am. He didn't even need to leave his car, because Dianthe was already pulling open the passenger side door to get in. Her hair was wet, matted down with water, and her brassiere was showing through her blouse, which clung to her skin. "Merci, Luca. I am sorry I had to wake you to come get me. AAA is going to tow my car to the shop, its totally dead, won't turn over or anything." she said. Before he pulled off though, she placed a kiss on his lips, and let her hand flow through his wild, spiky hair. Then she sat back in her seat, and put on her seatbelt, as if nothing happened just then. She kicked off her heels and rubbed her feet, as Luca drove them back to the apartment.

So maybe the GPS wasn't so good with the directions: the AAA people had beaten him out there even though Dianthe called them after him. Guess they were used to calls out in the middle of nowhere. As he was getting out to greet her, she beat him to the punch, jumping into the car before he got a chance to say much.
"Oh no, it's no problem Di. Truth be told, I needed to get up anyway." Luca said, laughing a little as his pathetic state for most of the time he was Dianthe's condo. Between the rain and the various stains on her clothing, she looked about as bad as he did, if not worse. The thought had him giggling a little longer than he should have. "I'm sorry, Di. Just...shit, look at us. Perfect match, huh?" It sure seemed like it: the poor Grand Am was going to smell like hell by the time they both got home.
"Hey, look at the bright side. You were looking for an excuse to get a new car anyway, so here it is!" Luca threw the car into reverse to turn around and head back the way he had come, but was interrupted by a kiss from Dianthe. She just never seemed to stop catching the poor boy by surprise. He clumsily returned the kiss, laughing and blushing as she pulled away. The car turned around and began the trip home, Luca turning on the radio and letting Di have free reign over it.
Once they were outside the Condo again, Luca looked at the radio's clock in disgust, a frustrated sigh escaping his lips. He had missed work yesterday to spend time with Di, and it looked like it was close to happening again today. "Sorry, hun, but I can't stay." The healer apologized, looking over at Dianthe. "It's late, and I'm in for it as it is. You want to...I don't know, go get dinner or something tonight? My treat."

Dianthe could understand the GPS' limitations, she was really out in the sticks, and only someone with knowledge of the area would know where she was at. She wanted to get out of the rain, so she hurried to the passenger side door and got in next to Luca. She noticed he called her sweetheart, Dianthe thought that it was cute. Hell, she thought Luca was cute and funny too.
The odor of them both was questionable, but it had been so worth it. His hair was up in springy tufts all over his head, and his human smell was penetrating her senses, just as her scent of melon and chocolate was probably strong. Her shields were down around him, because she trusted him. They had shared the most intimate of acts, and Dianthe didn't share that with just anyone. "Oui, Luca. Our match is parfait." her word for perfect.
"I will probably have to ask you to come with me to the dealership of cars, so I can choose one." she said excitedly. Luca was about to move the car in reverse when Di kissed him, hard and full on his lips. Not that she enjoyed taking Luca by surprise, she was just relieved to be with him again, and on her way to her apartment. You can call it gratitude. He wasn't quite prepared for so much ardor, and acted like he didn't know what he was doing, winding up laughing and blushing like a school kid insted. Dianthe giggled too, at his blushing face as he turned on the radio to a station she liked. Alternative Rock. Dianthe listened to most everything, except for country music. Dianthe was slightly disappointed that Luca wouldn't be able to come inside once they arrived at the condominium, and softly pouted. But she was mature enough to understand, for she too had to work, and the hour was growing late. "Oui. dinner would be good. I have to take the bus to work today, you can pick me up from my shop at City Centre Mall, its called Bling!" She exited his vehicle, after giving him a peck on the cheek, "Merci, Luca. Thanks for giving me a ride home. I shall see you tonight at 8?"
